We hope your time at Teurlings Catholic High School has been most memorable. 

 

You are applying for a scholarship to honor a very special Rebel, Robert W. Boudreaux. 

 

Coach Boudreaux is a proud alumnus of the 1969 class of Teurlings Catholic High School. Being a part of the Rebel family was important to him and his wife, a fellow classmate. They were raised to be proud of this Rebel graduate distinction, one they shared with all of their siblings. They continued the tradition and were eager to send both of their children to Teurlings Catholic High School. Coach Boudreaux served as the Chairman of the Rebel Open from 1994-2024, historically one of the biggest fundraising events for the school. He was named TCHS Supporter of the Year in 2016. He served as the TCHS golf coach from 2006-2024.

 

People who know Coach Boudreaux would describe him as an effective leader, hard worker and perfectionist who carried high expectations for himself and those around him. He valued the importance of a Catholic education, the lessons learned from competing in athletic programs and the importance of service to your community, serving both the Teurlings Catholic community and the entire Acadiana area throughout his life. 

 

As a way to honor his legacy, friends and family have created this scholarship. 

The $5000 scholarship will be awarded to a Junior student of Teurlings Catholic High School who has excelled and contributed to the community in a way that will continue Robert’s legacy of Rebel support. This scholarship will be paid to TCHS as a supplement to the Senior tuition of the recipient. We hope this fund will help a deserving student in the final phase of their journey to becoming a proud Rebel graduate.
